Wendy Dwyer, Kay Lynch, and Deirdre Masterson comprise the Irish Sopranos. Each classically trained singer possesses a distinctive, individual vocal sound. Together they perform lyric, lyric coloratura, and dramatic soprano, creating splendid textures and sensational, breath-taking harmonies.
"Anything with a beautiful melody attracts us," Ms. Dwyer notes. "All we want to do is entertain and inspire people with our music," adds Ms. Lynch. "And creating great harmonies is the first step."
All three members of the trio grew up in homes that were filled with diverse musical influences that color their current musical style. Before forming the group, each singer had established her own impressive individual portfolio. Their respective backgrounds span a wide variety of repertoire -- from serving as the lead-singer with Riverdance to performing as soloists on the international operatic stage.
As such, The Irish Sopranos' music is an eclectic mix ranging from operatic to popular music and everything in between. Each song is arranged specifically for or by the girls and each arrangement reflects the group's individual style and their remarkable versatility.
