We visited the new Pacers Restaurant in Eastlake Ohio. It's just east of Lakeshore Blvd and SOM; right on the Chagrin River.
It was a Tuesday evening and the special was a Prime Rib dinner for $9.00. It included a generous portion of wonderfully cooked meat, choice of potatoes, vegetable and garlic toast. It was very good and everyone in our party who had it enjoyed it.
Pacers is known for their ribs (they've won a number of Rib-Off contests). The two people in our group that had ribs liked them very much also.
Special Senior Tip: The parking lot is stone and pebble and people with walking problems should be dropped off.
Pacer's is a chain restaurant and I'm sure there is one not too far from you, however we felt the main attraction was the fact that is was summer, and on the river. There were umbrella tables outside and watching the boats gave you the feeling you were in a resort town.
It was very busy; the waitress said prime rib night is always busy. Each night has a different specialty, check it out.
As busy as they were, the waitresses was very efficient, very pleasant and helpful.
The restaurant has a bar atmosphere - not a dive bar - but a fun bar. You can dress in your comfortable clothes, the place is not pretentious.
The menus were on the place mats. It was mostly beef but also some chicken and shrimp.
There were booths, regular tables and high seat tables inside.
Special Senior Tip 2:
We asked for separate checks. The waitress said "No Problem. If you go to a restaurant and are told that they can't …don't believe them."
