This year's Grand Marshall is the well-deserving William (Bill) Carney.
Bill's parents were both born in Ireland; his mother in County Mayo and his father in County Galway. He is one of five children all of whom have embraced their Irish heritage.
He is an active member of the Irish American community, a founding member of the East Side Irish American Club as well as the Celtic Athletic Association. He is also a past president of the East Side Club and is a member of the West Side Irish American Club as well.
In addition, Bill has served as a Delegate and a Deputy Director of the United Irish Societies, and as such was instrumental in the planning of past parades. He is still active in the UIS and all Clubs to this day.
