Dr. Phil Henley built Animal Hospital over 40 years ago and began a tradition of quality care and service. Dr. Henley, an OSU graduate is semi-retired and continues to do screening eye exams for purebred dogs. He is Director Emeritus of the Lake County Humane Society Board of Directors and an active member of the Rotary Club
Dr. Scott Murray is a 1986 OSU graduate and co-owner of Animal Hospital Inc. He is married and the father of three children and has cats and dogs. He is an active member of Kiwanis, very involved with his children's activities and enjoys playing piano, snow skiing and physical fitness activities.
Dr. Debbie Dennis is also an OSU graduate from 1986 and co-owner of Animal Hospital Inc. She is married, the mother of three children and has cats and dogs. She is a member of the Western Reserve Kennel Club and a Director on the Board of the Lake County Humane Society. She enjoys showing and breeding her Pembroke Welsh Corgi dogs and spending time with her children.
Dr. Megan Barnhizer is a 1999 OSU graduate and began her practice at Animal Hospital in that same year. She was raised in Bainbridge and is an accomplished competitive dressage rider and also enjoys dancing. She is married and has cats, dogs and a horse.
Dr. Jeanne Friedman is a 1981 graduate of Iowa State University. She is originally from Shaker Heights, but practiced in California for a time before returning to Ohio in 2000. She sees most of the avian caseload at Animal Hospital, as well as the other usual species. Jeanne has two children, cats and dogs. She enjoys reading, writing poetry, walking in the woods, and most of all, spending time with her children and pets.
Dr. Alan Hammer is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He did his residency at the same institution and is board certified in Oncology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Hammer was also an assistant professor and has numerous publications in journals and books. He has lectured across the United States and Europe and is a recipient of several prestigious awards for his work in veterinary medicine. Dr. Hammer is married and has dogs and cats. He enjoys traveling, woodworking and reading.
