Q. Can you change a regular bathtub into a walk-in shower? After surgery I have a hard time lifting my one leg into the tub.
A: Not that I know of. But you can take the tub out and find a great shower insert. They are easy to put in, relatively inexpensive and come in many different styles and varieties.
Q. We have a few scratches and chips in a white enamel shower tray, do you know of any products that we could use to carry out this repair?
A: There are products specially made to fill and repair these, found at local home improvement stores and they are very easy to use, some as easy as nail polish.
Q. I am trying to replace the commode but need to know how to fix the part where new screws are inserted into the bottom of the commode. That piece was broken where the screw head is attached.
A: If it is the toilet itself that is cracked or broken, it needs to be replaced. If it is the flanged
mounting on the floor that is cracked where the screws attach, they do sell a replacement piece that can be attached so the toilet can be remounted.
Q. I have hot water everywhere, except the half bath. Plenty of pressure in the faucets, but no hot water in half bath.
A: It is hard to say what could be wrong here, there are many possibilities. Could be a supply line problem. Could be that it is shut off somewhere back further in the pipe. Or it could be a faucet issue.
